Behaviour that used to be based
on customs of Turkish
hospitality has frequently
morphed into harassment
inflicted by shop owners on
passersby. In far too many
locations, it is impossible for
visitors to wander in and out of
Turkish shops without being
pelted with questions and pushed
to drink tea. How annoying, we
think. We'd hate to be treated
